What book reviewers are saying about Legs Talk!
“Legs Talk: Let Your Legs do the Talking” is a quirky, offbeat, Sex in the City kind of girlie book. Photographs take the reader on a wacky relationship trip that makes you laugh and sigh.
It's edgy and makes a great coffee table book for adults. A bit risqué, it is not a book I would allow around children. But adults will appreciate the fresh dialog that is delivered with attitude. The black and white photography could almost tell the story without adding any words. But it is the language that takes the book over the edge. The author tells us, “My next boyfriend will be normal.” But the story, told by the legs from beginning to end, is short. Sometimes with only one or two lines per page, it's the body language conveyed in the photo that completes every sentence.
“Every night he called me to ask if I missed him. How can I miss you, if you won't go away?” Divided into sections. The book begins with, “In the beginning there were legs and ends with “Legs of Forgiveness.”
It took me about fifteen minutes to read it the first time. I went back and spent a little longer the second time, finding interesting language in the black and white photography. I laughed throughout the book and identified, as most women will, with the attitudes portrayed.
It makes a great gift for a girlfriend, particularly one who is fed up with the dating scene, going through or had a recent break up.

What a FUN book to read...and D.E. - you're as crafty as you are witty! The idea alone was enough to spark my attention, but the illustrations are outrageous. I LOVED it! I recommend every member of Goodread buy and read D.E. Boone's Legs Talk!
You go girlfriend!

Body Language: An Entertaining and Sensitive View of Relationships- 5 Stars*
While some my dismiss this small sized book that weds (oops!) photography and psychology as just a funny diversion, author D.E. Boone and photographer Marc Burgess (with the assistance of the gorgeous gams of model Natsuko Koizumi) have taken a serious look at why our field of dating is so bumpy so often. Using a forum of balancing excellent black and white photographs of just legs (mostly female as this is a female point of view) opposite fragments of thought that tell the story of a failed relationship, Boone informs us of at least one vantage of evaluating why both the dating game and the need for connecting is often thwarted. The fact that such minimal visual and written information can pack such a wallop is refreshing. This is a very entertaining little reflection that is both very funny and very wise.
To say much more about the content of the 'story' would remove the punch from the book for new readers. Suffice it to say that this well designed, well considered tidbit of philosophy/psychology is a novel and clever art book that is guaranteed to provide chuckles as well as support for people awash in the contemporary field of dating - and a fine gift for friends who may be there, too!

She's Got Legs “She's a very special girl. The kind of girl you want to know.
From her head down to her toenails. Down to her feet, yeah.”
(Rick James - Super Freak)
From the first pick up line. She could see he was a leg man.
First the flirting. Then the sweet nothings.
Until at last .... An opening ... and Whatever!
A little photo book, with legs that not only
walk the walk, but talk the talk.
Provocative ... Funny ... and Twisted
Black & white images, taken from the waist down
Gorgeous legs and high heeled shoes tell the story
Of the boyfriend that was.
A great gift for a girlfriend who has a broken heart.
A very small book. But here size doesn't matter
Put your feet up... kick back and smile. “She's got legs, she knows how to use them”
(ZZ Top)

"You break it you buy it!"
How many times has the man you thought of as "the one" ended up just being a number in your little black book? From page one this book had me on my toes! It's like a girl's night in all packed in one adorable book! D.E. Boone is original and refreshing and tells it like it is! This book is something we all could use at some point in our life, and that is a fact.
Heart-broken? We've all been and well all know the story and how we got there. It's timeless and I'd go as far to say a "classic" in it's own right. But you know what? I want to tell it again...as single women, when we look for a man, we dress-up, use our sensuality and "walk" with it so to say. There she is minding her own business, having a little "retail therapy" (which we all need by the way) and here he comes, could it be..Mr. Right? or should we say Mr. Right Now? I love a good story especially one I've lived through and can relate to one hundred percent! But when it's told a way so ingenious, edgy, and different that I've never seen it before, I am blown away! "Legs Talk: Let your Legs Do the Talking", is THAT book. We may know the story, but we certainly have never seen it narrated like this.
A tale of girl meets guy, falls for guy, finds out he's not what he said he was, disappoints, disappears, reappears, girl gives him another chance only to be hurt again ...then what? We all swear the next one will be normal! Except for one thing, as normal as this story sounds, it's anything but! This beautiful black and white picture book is told from the waist down. That's right, this book is narrated by a pair of sexy, gorgeous and sensuous legs.
Have you ever been looking for that perfect gift book for a girl friend who just got dumped by the man of her dreams? Or maybe things just didn't work out between the two of them. And all you want is a little something to stop her from moping around and eating your entire pint of Ben and Jerry's? So what do you do? You rush out to the local bookstore and all you find sitting on the shelves are the "I'm so very sorry" books. Now to me ladies, in most cases, and even if you don't find out until later on, it's a blessing in disguise! So, why not celebrate? This book is how we as women can hold all the cards! We are sexy beings with intelligence, thoughts and feelings and isn't it about time we started to get treated like it?
So go put on your high heels and "walk that walk" because you're a woman and thanks to this book, you'll celebrate it! Nancy Sinatra didn't hit Number One in 1966 with "These Boots Were Made for Walkin'" for nothing! Right?
Thank you Ms. Boone, I totally got a kick out of this book and believe me, you will too!
I LOVED this gift-book and it gets a SOLID FIVE-STAR TIARA RATING here at Royal Reviews! Which Means - This Book Lives Happily Ever After On MY Bookshelf

This short book is to the point about relationships.
Finally. a "coffee table" book that will fit on your night stand. If your legs could talk they may be using the same fun, fresh dialog (with an attitude) the author uses to describe a love found and left behind.
This is truly a book where the pictures (in sharp black and white contrast) are worth a thousand words. Succinct, and to the point you can read this pithy visual relationship tale in less that ten minutes.
Give Legs Talk as a gift, to women you know who have experienced love found and, on their own terms, left behind. Wit, comical dialog and wisdom are yours for a few minutes of your time.

An Interesting and Playful Little Book
"Legs Talk" is an interesting, hilarious and playful little book. I cannot stop smiling and laughing when I read the book. It tells the age-old story visually through a pair of legs: a man notices beautiful legs and meets a woman, flirting, dating, falling in love, breaking up and almost getting back together with an unexpected twist at the end. The black-and-white photos are beautiful. One-liners are concise and funny, like "Do you want to talk to me or my legs?"
"Legs Talk" has 112 pages, but you can finish it in 20 minutes since the story is told visually through photos and one-liners. It is a great and funny little gift for both readers and non-readers.

This is a tale of love found and lost without heaving bosoms or quivering thighs.
The lovely legs of model Natsuko Koizumi tell it all -- in sexy sling backs, rugged boots, and even ice skates.
It's quirky, told mainly in photographs, and it's a perfect short read for anyone who's just ended a relationship.
The pictures tell the story, but the captions pack a wallop as well. “How can I miss you if you won't go away?” is a great line signaling the downfall of this all too familiar romance story.
“Legs Talk” is honest, sexy, clever -- and a lot of fun!

“Legs Talk,” is a quirky, offbeat type of illustrated story that tells the complete tale of a relationship, gone bad. Photographs of a model's legs take you through the story from beginning to end. The photographs do a great job of telling the story. An unexpected twist, that has serious implications on the relationship, is actually given away in one of the pictures; however, I didn't catch it until after I reread the book.
The majority of the text in “Legs Talk,” is presented in single sentences. There are some witty oneliners thrown into this incredibly short story. My favorite one was: “How can I miss you if you won't go away?” There were a few others that caught me off guard and had me laughing out loud.
“Legs Talk” is the perfect gift for a friend who is going through a breakup. It also would make a great gift for a friend who has everything. I can guarantee you that they don't already have something like this! “Legs Talk” a must have gift for a divorce party. It will definitely catch you off guard, and make you ask yourself, “What in the world am I reading?” I know that I did, and then I kept laughing.

Author, D. E. Boone and photographer Marc Burgess take you on a very sensual, visual and most delightful journey into the world of dating. Contained in the pages of this book your will discover the age old story- boy meets girl, boy dates girl, girl falls for boy, boy shows his true colors, girl rejects boy and goes on with her life. However, the format used by this clever writer will surprise you. The story is told visually rather than literally; with one liners and excellent black and white photos. You will be entertained in an inimitable way.
The book would be an excellent gift for either gender. The men will love the photos of the glorious female appendages; especially the “leg” men out there and the ladies will appreciate the humor of realizing the guy only wants one thing and then promptly dumping him. Even nonreaders will appreciate this small, short and easy to read gift. Humorous, intelligently and tastefully done, I would recommend this one as a truly unique gift for friends, family and anyone going through a break up.

As the first review of March, I'd like to look forward to the coming Spring and Summer. The first flower blossoms have begun to peak their head above the frozen winter ground, and the brids have begun to sing. Change is in the air. And along with Spring comes a change in fashion. We put away the big puffy coats and winter clothing and bring out our Spring jackets, shorts, and skirts. Spring is also the time to show off our bodies - all those long hours spent in the gym getting trim and firm are about to pay off.
Legs are one of those parts of the body that come out after a winter of being covered up. Legs talk - they have attitude and swagger - and they attract attention. In Legs Talk by D.E. Boone, a pair of attention grabbing legs takes us on a photographic journey from Spring exposé, to courtship, to romance, to breakup, and back again. Using the exceptional photographs of Marc Burgess - and legs of model Natsuko Koizumi - Legs Talk is a book that shows us just how powerful a pair of legs can be.
This is the perfect gift for anyone who appreciates the female form. Great as a little book for a friend, a gift for a party, or as a funny gag Legs Talk is a picture book with attitude. If you're fed up with the dating scene and need a good laugh about it, Legs Talk is the perfect get-over-him gift. The ending of the story is what will make them get-over-him, for not all legs are what they appear to be...

If "Sex and The City" was filmed from the waist down only, you'd get D.E. Boone's "Legs Talk," a sassy picture book that speaks to single women and their nutty relationships. Mostly, though, "Legs Talk" speaks to their legs.
Told through a series of black-and-white photographs of a woman's legs, "Legs Talk" is the story of a woman and her affair with a legophile.
The story has a beginning, a middle and a surprise ending, but in this case, the real story is in the telling. When the narrator likes her leg-friendly fetishist, she hurls her feet in the air beside the text: "I fell head over heels for him." When she hates the pervert, she crosses her legs tightly next to the words: "The kitchen is closed!" The result is a charming visual journey that leaves a lot - her face, for example - to the imagination.
Author and Queens native David Eugene Boone was inspired by female noir characters and Hitchcock movies when he created his monochromatic, long-limbed protagonist.
"I noticed that women's legs were used to communicate something," he said, "especially when they were walking away."
"Legs Talk" began as an idea for a feisty greeting-card series. He gathered relationship stories from his female friends and found that the card industry had it all wrong.
"Greeting cards always say things like 'I'm glad I met you,' and 'Miss you,'" said Boone. "Women don't talk like that. They say, 'Why didn't you call?'"
The greeting cards morphed into a solid storyline. With the help of photographer Marc Burgess and model Natsuko Koizumi, "Legs Talk" eventually became a pictorial gift book that has sex appeal for men and sass appeal for women.
"It's sexy, but I'm not selling sex," said Boone. "I'm not alienating women by throwing a 6-foot-2 model in there. It's visual enough for men, but all the women I speak with see their own story in here."
Boone studied graphic design at Touro College and earned his MBA in media management at Metropolitan College . He works as a paralegal and part-time owner of his Jamaica-based publishing company, Global Force Media. A native of Hollis and resident of Jamaica , Boone is constantly inspired by his native borough.
"I love seeing the approachable energy and diversity here," he said. "I planned 'Legs Talk' in Starbucks [stores] all over Queens."
"Legs Talk" is Boone's first book. Through Global Force Media, he hopes to advance into more gift books and greeting cards with playful relationship themes.
"We all experience break-ups and failed relationships," he said. "Sometimes it's better to stay away from the Dr. Phil stuff and have fun with it."

As someone who loves musical improvisation, I appreciate Legs Talk
for its visual improvisations. Female legs are used to tell the raucously funny story of a love affair gone delightfully bad. The legs perfectly communicate every diss, threat, flirtatious whisper, and side-long glance.
Even a dog becomes part of the fun! At the same time, the reader is left with a sense of optimism-that despite the many valleys in the woman's relationship with her man, dating is still a worthwhile, if sometimes hazardous endeavor.
D.E. Boone has done a masterful job of choosing both the legs model, and the photographer. The stunning black-and-white photos, and the red-black lettering of the book's title, show the author's strong attention to detail; and a deep understanding of the classic romantic films that still move us today. In short, Legs Talk is one of the most enjoyable reads I've had in awhile. The even better news is that you can read it again and again, and always discover something new. Buy It. Read It, Love It. Share It. I recommend it highly.

As a woman I can identify with the story. My legs have gotten me in to so much trouble. Mr Boone's whimsical little book captures the humor in relationships and sheds light on the nuances of non-verbal cues.
